Video PIL is a new service designed to enable patients, families and loved ones to learn more about the medicines they are taking, in a more accessible and understandable fashion. Video PIL is a registered trade mark of CPD Sessions Limited an educational company specialising in developing rich media, web delivered education to healthcare professionals and undergraduate medical students world wide.

Founded and piloted in 2010, with the support of Enterprise Ireland, Video PIL comes from a long pedigree of video based educational products that have changed medical education on a global scale.

At Video PIL we have two simple missions:

1. Educate you on all medicines, in an understandable way, so as to increase your chance of treatment success

2. Protect you against counterfeit medicines and encourage support of local healthcare proefssionals

Medicines differ all over the world, in terms of brand names, what they are used for, the correct dosage and of course what they look like. Medicinal information is one of the most searched topics on the worldwide web and the amount of quality information is almost matched by the amount of misinformation. Patient information is a legal requirement, yet when it is supplied it is complicated, illegible and confusing. Not any more!

More worryingly, the volume of counterfeit medicines continues to grow and in Europe it is estimated that over €10 Billion is spent each year on counterfeit medicines. Make sure your medicine is not counterfeit!
